～施設・病院見学について～

私たちは、研修の中で、社会福祉施設と病院を見学しました。はじめに紹介する施設は、SPDです。SPDは、「全ての人が受け入れられる地域社会づくり」を目標に、地域社会に根ざしたリハビリ、雇用サービスの提供をはじめ、障害の有無に関わらず全ての人が豊かに生活が送れるよう、社会に意見を発信する役割を担っています。実際に利用者の方が書籍の製造やマラソン大会で配布する参加賞のパッキングを行う様子、また資料のコピーやホチキス留め等のオフィス業務をこなす姿を見て、安全で安心して働ける環境が障害を抱える方の職場において重要であることを実感しました。

また、エクササイズステーションも見学させていただき、専門職種がどのように対象者に働きかけ、リハビリや社会復帰への支援を行っているのか、話を伺うことができました。特に印象に残っているのは、クライアント同士のサポートグループでの活動です。同じ境遇の人を見る、知る、そして互いに励まし合うことで、専門職者だけでなく、みんなで社会復帰について前向きに考えていこうという姿勢が、個人のモチベーションの向上に大きく貢献すると思いました。実際に社会復帰を果たした方の中には、水道工事の現場で働いていた方がレストランのスタッフに、警察官として働いていた方がカジノディラーに、そして、レストランのコックがアーティストに、といったように前職とは全く世界の異なる新しい仕事に就く方も多いということを知り、とても驚きました。

次に紹介するのは、SG Enable Village です。SGは、飲食店や保育所、クリニック、職業紹介所などがテナントとして入っており、シンガポールの最も新しい統合されたコミュニティー空間として海外からも注目を集めています。

豊かな自然に囲まれたデザイン性の高い建築になっており、なによりバリアフリーが充実していることが特徴です。この施設は障害のある方にとって職場であり、トレーニングの場でもあることから、とても開けた環境であると思いました。また、ジョブトレーナーが対象者に合った仕事が見つかるまでさまざまな仕事を体験させてくれるという充実したサポート体制が整っていることも魅力の１つであると感じました。施設内には、ジュエリーショップやパン屋、スターバックスコーヒー等のお店がありました。

私たちが特に感心したのは、スーパーです。高い場所に陳列されている商品を取る際にスタッフを呼ぶためのボタンや、車椅子用のカート、また視力が悪い方でも見やすいよう、大きな文字の表示、ルーペの設置等、高齢者や障害者をはじめとする全ての人に対して暮らしやすい取り組みが多く見られました。また、買い物をしたあとのカートをレジのカウンターの机上まで持ち上げるシステムはとても画期的であると思いました。このような取り組みがシンガポールだけでなく、広く受け入れられる社会ができれば、障害を持つ人や高齢の方にとって、より暮らしやすい環境が広がっていくのではないかと感じました。

最後に紹介する施設はKhoo Tech Puat Hospital（KTPT）です。この病院は2010年に開かれた救急病院です。現地の看護師の方に病院内を案内していただきながら、病院の理念や特徴についてのお話を伺いました。

私がまず驚いたのは、病院内のスタッフに向けて運動促進の取り組みがなされていることです。腹筋やランニング、腕立てなどのメニューがあり、定期的に管理されています。まずはスタッフが健康の手本になるという考え方が良いなと思いました。また、特に日本の病院との違いを感じたのは、政府から受ける医療費の補助の度合いによって病室の環境が全く異なることです。例えば、入院するためのお金の補助を多く受けている方は、病室の仕切りとなる壁の高さが1.5メートルほどしかなく、エアコンは設置されていません。日本の病院はドアや壁が多いことに対して、シンガポールはかなり開放的な印象を強く受けました。また、シンガポールは多民族国家であるため、宗教によって提供される病院食が異なることや、看護師間で言語対応のリストを作成し、他言語でのコミュニケーションを円滑に取れるように工夫されていることを知ることができました。

研修に参加して、日本とシンガポールの医療制度の違いや、健康課題をグローバルな視点で比較することができ、国内だけでは気づくことができなかった日本の医療の良さや問題点を知ることができました。今回学んだ知識や経験が今後の実習や学習への自信につながっていくと良いなと思います。

また、研修を通して聖隷クリストファー大学の学生をはじめ、シンガポールの学生やホームステイでお世話になった家族など多くの人と関わる機会がありました。英語が話せる話せない以前に、このような機会がなければ、海外の学生と一緒に学んだり、ご飯を食べたり、お話をしたりすることもないのでとても貴重な経験ができました。

～NYPについて～

研修先のナンヤン理工学院（NYP）は7つの学部があり、約15,000人もの学生が通う大きなポリテクニックです。

講義は全て英語でしたが、引率の先生方が翻訳してくれるので理解できました。

驚いたことは、シンガポールでは小学校6年生の時点で、エリートコースか普通コースというのが決まってしまうことです。そのため、シンガポールの家庭は、ほとんどが英才教育を小さいときから受けていました。

キャンパスツアーでは、NYPの16の校舎と体育館、スタジアム、プールなど、とても広い敷地を見学しました。学校ではないような雰囲気で、シンガポールの技術やアイデアには驚かされました。とてもおしゃれな空間が多く、学校とは思えませんでした。

そして、一番の驚きはこの人形↓です。これは、看護学生がシミュレーションを行うときに使うもので、1体で1,000万円近くします。（目の瞳孔をつけたら2,000万円！）

すごい機器に触れられる時間を作っていただきました。実際に、裏で人間が話すことをこの人形が話しているかのような感じにできたり、脈を打っていたりと、人間に近いような状態で体験学習することができる環境となっていました。

この研修は自分にとって初めての海外でしたが、先生やホストファミリー、一緒に行った仲間たちと安全に楽しく過ごすことができ、とても貴重で有意義な体験でした。今も、ホストファミリーたちとつながっていて、日本以外にも友人ができました。この研修に参加しなかったら繋がらなかった人たちと関わりあえるようになり、新しい人脈が築け、多くの考え方を知ることが出来ました。

また、研修後にはもっと海外に行ってみたいという欲が出てきました。海外に興味がある方には、この研修が第一歩としていいのではないかと思います。

社会福祉学部社会福祉学科2年　増井登

2018年度国際看護実習は、本学交流協定締結校であるシンガポール・ナンヤン理工学院（NYP）の協力のもと、9月3日から9月14日に実施されました。11月16日に実習生として派遣された2名の看護学部4年次生が、来年度対象になる看護学部3年次生に向けて、実習内容について発表をしました。

Two of SCU School of Nursing senior students reported their experiences at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) in Singapore from September 3^rd to 14^th to all the junior students in School of Nursing. The debriefing session was held on November 16^th.

2名は総合病院や地域病院での実習を通じて、シンガポールの看護の良さを発見し、さらに、日本の看護の良さを再確認できたと発表しました。また、ホームステイ体験、NYPの学生との交流,休日の観光などの現地の人々やシンガポールの文化にも触れることができる国際実習の魅力を伝えました。

They said they found strength of nursing in Singapore through the practicum at the general hospital or regional hospital. Also, they reconfirmed strength of nursing in Japan. They also shared about the attraction of this training that they communicated with local people and learned the culture in Singapore through homestay experience, student exchange and sightseeing on the weekend.

～学生交流編～ About Student Interaction

シンガポールへ到着した日から2泊3日で、NYP学生宅へホームステイをし、シンガポール家庭での生活を体験しました。出発前は英語でのコミュニケーションに不安との声がありましたが、事前にスカイプで連絡していたこともあり、まるで昔からの友達だったかのように空港では会えたことを喜び合っていました。それぞれが満喫した日々を過ごした様子でした。また、毎日の研修プログラム中だけでなく、研修後にも食事や観光などを楽しみながら交流を深めました。

SCU students stayed with NYP students (host families) for 2 nights just after their arrival to Singapore, to experience family culture of Singapore. The students were a little nervous about communicating in English before the arrival, however, because they had video chatted in summer, they were very happy to meet NYP students at the airport. Each student had a wonderful time with their host families. Also, they spent some time together during and after the program to deepen their friendship.

• I am still in touch with my host family. My host family shared a lot of things about Singapore. I think no one kindly explains about Singapore as much as my host family.

～施設見学編～　About Facility Visit

施設見学では、SPD（障がい者リハビリテーション施設）、Khoo Tech Puat Hospital（総合病院）、SG Enabling Village（障がい者支援施設）の3ヶ所に行きました。実際にシンガポールの保健医療福祉施設の現場へ足を運ぶことによってさらに学びを深められた様子でした。

They visited three facilities: SPD(facility of rehabilitation for people with disabilities), Khoo Tech Puat Hospital(general hospital) and SG Enabling Village(facility for people with disabilities).

They seemed to understand more deeply as they actually visit healthcare and welfare facilities in Singapore.

• 障がいのある人がいきいきと働いている姿を見ることができた。日本では障がいのある人の多くは授産所で小物などを作っているイメージだったが、SPDではそれぞれに仕事が割り振られ、彼らはその責任を果たしていた。この施設を出て社会復帰する人もいると聞き、希望が持てた。
• 子供、成人、高齢者の全ての方を対象にサポートを行なっており、一人一人の持っている力を引き出すという面でとても良い施設だと感じた。

• I could see people with disabilities worked lively. I had an image most of them in Japan make products in vocational facilities. However ,they were assigned work individually and fulfill their responsibilities in SPD. I had a hope to hear someone leave this faculity and reintegrade into society.

• 患者の病棟を、患者の支払う治療費によって分けており、ホテルのように豪華な病室がある一方で、エアコンが無く、低い壁で仕切られた空間に患者のベッドがいくつも並んでいる病棟もあった。日本では見たことのない光景だったので驚いた。
• シンガポールの病院の体制や貧富の差による施設の設備に違いがあることがわかった。他にも、病院の職員も運動をすることは驚いた。
• KTPH＝Keep The People Happyという言葉がとても印象的。

• This hospital divides rooms depends on cost of treatment which patients pay. There are luxury hospital rooms like a hotel, while there are wards that are some beds for patients in a space separated with low walls without air conditioners. I was shocked because I have never seen this situation in Japan.
• I realized there are differences about equipment in facilities depends on organizations in hospitals or wealth disparity in Singapore. And I was surprised staffs in the hospital also exercise.
• I was really impressed the word “KTPH=Keep The People Happy”.

• 世界でも初のコンセプトとなる施設を見学できた。スーパーの見学ではカゴやレジの作りの素晴らしさに感動した。障害を持つ人でもこのような施設が増えればもっと働きやすくなると感じた。
• 障がいのある人やお年寄りがなるべく自分の力で生活していけるようにというコンセプトがとてもいいなと思った。もともと学校だったという話だったが、バリアフリーな施設にリノベーションされていて、このような施設が世界中に増えたらいいなと思った。

• I’m satisfied to visit the first concept of facility in the world. I was impressed nice baskets and registers in the supermarket. I think these kind of facilities help people with disabilities to work if there are more.

～NYP学内編～ About NYP Campus

2018年9月1日（土）から9日（日）の日程で、本学看護学部及び社会福祉学部生20名と引率教職員2名が、交流協定締結校であるシンガポールのナンヤン理工学院（NYP）ヘルスサイエンス学部（現ヘルス＆ソーシャルサイエンス学部）を拠点とする海外研修に行ってきました。9日間の研修を通して、シンガポールの保健医療福祉について学び、異文化に対する理解を深めました。

SCU conducted the Study Visit to School of Health and Social Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Singapore from September 1 to 9, 2018. 20 students from School of Nursing/Social Work and 2 faculty members attended the visit. Through 9 days visit, they learned about Singapore’s healthcare and welfare system, and increased their understanding of other cultures.

 NYPでは、学部紹介やキャンパスツアーの他、NYP教員による講義3つ、NYPで行われているシミュレーション教育の演習、また、静岡県東南アジア事務所の職員の方による講義に参加しました。

During the visit to NYP, three lectures and simulations by NYP, the lecture by Shizuoka Prefecture South East Asia office as well as introduction of the School of Health and Social Sciences and campus tour were conducted.

• 事前学習ではシンガポールの医療制度についてよい点だけを並べたり日本と対比したりしていたが、実は日本と同じように少子化が問題になっているということや、糖尿病の患者がとても多いなどシンガポール特有の問題を抱えていることを知ることができ、シンガポールを知る上での視野が広がった。
•  シンガポールは経済が回っていることをとても大切に考えていて、人々は雇用されるためにスキルを学んでいることを知り納得できた。また、シンガポールの政府が行なっている活動も学ぶことができた。
•  シンガポールの社会制度について利点と問題点の両方を知ることができた。ビザを持っていない不正に滞在していた人を病院に連れていき、最期はホスピスで看取ったというエピソードが印象に残っている。
•  シンガポールは静岡県の11分の1の面積だということにとても衝撃を受けると同時に、産業や外交関係など細かいところまで学ぶことができた。
•  シミュレーションのクオリティが凄かった。本来経験できないことが経験できて、将来にいかせると思った。

•  Before visiting Singapore, I just picked up positive aspects of Singapore healthcare system relative to Japan. However, I could broaden my perspective to understand Singapore by learning Singapore’s particular problems with the declining birth rate and a large number of diabetics.
•  Through learning economic activity provided by the government, I could learn the importance of economic activities in Singapore and understand why Singaporean people try to acquire enough skills for better employment.
•  I could learn pros and cons about social system in Singapore. It was very impressive that even an illegal immigrant was taken care at the hospital and hospice to the last breath.
•  It is quite surprising that the area of Singapore is only one-eleventh that of Shizuoka prefecture. And I could study the detail about Singapore’s industry, diplomatic policies and others.
• The quality of simulation provided by NYP was quite high, which I didn’t expect to take. I will be able to utilize the experience in the future.

3月14日（水）Wednesday, March 14

午前中、看護学科生は浜松市リハビリテーション病院を訪問し、施設見学をしたのちに学生同士で食事介助を実践しました。

In the morning, the nursing students visited “Hamamatsu City Rehabilitation Hospital”. They took a tour around the hospital and practiced meal assistance with each other.

社会福祉学科生は、浜松市根洗学園と総合福祉施設きじの里へ施設見学に行きました。

The social work students visited “Hamamatsu City Nearai Gakuen” and general welfare facility “Kiji-no-Sato”.

午後は、両校の教員による第1回国際シンポジウムに参加しました。同じ高齢化問題を抱えるシンガポールと日本で行っている取り組みについて、5人のシンポジストよりプレゼンテーションがあり、両国の類似・相違点を学べる貴重な機会となりました。

In the afternoon, the students attended the 1st international symposium. A total of five symposiasts from NYP and SCU gave presentations on the topic of aging society and the efforts being done in Singapore and Japan as aging society is a problem in both countries. It was a great opportunity to learn the similarities and the differences between Singapore and Japan.

3月15日（木）Thursday, March 15

午前中、看護学科生はおおぞら療育センターへ施設見学に行きました。

In the morning, the nursing students visited “Ozora Ryoiku Center”.

社会福祉学科生は2グループに分かれ、1グループは本学にて本学教員による演習「高齢者体験」に参加し、もう1グループは地域若者サポートステーションはままつとひきこもりサポートセンターこだまへ施設見学に行きました。

The social work students were divided into two groups: group 1 participated in the exercise of being an elderly person done by a SCU faculty member, and group 2 visited “Community Youth Support Station Hamamatsu” and “Kodama Support Center for Hikikomori”.

午後は、学生同士の意見交換会に全員で参加しました。本学の教員や学生も参加し、研修中学んだことやシンガポールに持ち帰り実践したいことなどをシェアし合いました。

その後、藤本看護学部長と横尾社会福祉学部長より修了書を授与されました。

Afterwards, Certificate of Completion was awarded to all the students from Dean Fujimoto (nursing) and Dean Yokoo (social work).

最後は、本学学生主催の学生交流会です。全員でゲームをしたり、パフォーマンスをしたり、写真撮影会をしたりしました。言葉の壁がある中でも工夫しながらコミュニケーションを取り、交流することの楽しさを実感していました。

The wrap-up of this study trip is “Student Interaction Event” hosted by SCU students. They played games together, enjoyed performances (fashion show and dancing) done by each other, and took many pictures. Even though there was a language barrier, all the students devised ways of communicating and realized the joy and the value of international interaction.

3月16日（金）Friday, March 16

最終日は、浜松市内見学です。本学の学生も参加しました。あいにくの雨の中でしたが、浜松城、フルーツパーク、竜ヶ岩洞、イオンモール市野でのショッピングを思う存分楽しんだ様子でした。

NYP students and the faculty members toured around the city of Hamamatsu on the final day with SCU students. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day, but everyone enjoyed going to Hamamatsu Castle, Hamamatsu Fruit Park, Ryugashido Cave and shopping at AEON Mall Hamamatsu Ichino.

7日間の研修で、両校の学生や教職員は、シンガポールと日本の保健医療福祉についての学びがたくさんありました。また、それぞれの文化を体験したり、国境を越えた友情に感動したりと、いろいろと成長できた研修となりました。9月には、本学の学生がNYPでの研修に参加します。

During the seven days of the study trip, students, faculty members and staff from both schools had a lot of learning about healthcare and social welfare in Singapore and Japan. Also, everyone gained various things such as experiencing the culture of Japan and Singapore and being touched by friendship across the border. In September, SCU students will participate in the NYP study trip in Singapore.

3月10日（土）から16日（金）の7日間、交流協定締結校のシンガポール・ナンヤン理工学院（NYP）より、研修生24名（ヘルスサイエンス学部看護学科生10名、社会福祉学科生14名）と教員3名が本学へ来学しました。

24 students (10 nursing and 14 social work students) and 3 faculty members participated in the study visit from Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) in Singapore from Saturday, March 10 to Friday, March 16.

今回は、3月10日（土）～13日（火）の研修を振り返ってご紹介します。

3月10日（土）～11日（日）

Saturday, March 10 to Sunday, March 11

10日（土）のお昼ごろ本学の5号館前に到着し、週末を共にするホストファミリーと対面しました。

Students and the faculty members from NYP arrived at SCU around noon on the 10^th. They were greeted by their homestay families who they will spend the weekend with.

ホームステイ体験は、日本の文化を体験できると大好評のプログラムです。それぞれのホストファミリーと市内・市外へ観光に行ったり、ショッピングをしたり、季節のイベント（いちご狩りなど）を楽しんだりしました。

Homestay is one of the popular activities of the study trip program as students say it is a great opportunity to experience the Japanese culture. Students and their homestay families spent their weekend sightseeing the city of Hamamatsu, and some even went outside of the city! They also enjoyed shopping, Japanese food and some seasonal events (strawberry picking).

3月12日（月）Monday, March 12

朝は大学までホストファミリーに送っていただきました。そしていよいよ研修が本格的に始まります。

Students were dropped off by their host families at SCU in the morning.

まずは、全体でオリエンテーションを行い、本学の説明や教員の紹介をしました。その後、看護学部と社会福祉学部に分かれて、本学教員による講義を聴講しました。日本における看護・社会福祉の制度について、また、教育制度について学び、シンガポールとの違いに驚いた様子でした。

At the beginning, students and the faculty members attended an orientation along with SCU faculty members. Afterwards, they attended lectures done by SCU faculty members. Students learned about nursing and social welfare system as well as the educational system and curriculum in Japan. They were surprised to find out how different it is compared to Singapore.

昼食は、本学学生主催のWelcome Lunchで学生たちがおもてなしをしました。

SCU students planned and entertained NYP students and the faculty members with “Welcome Lunch”.

午後はキャンパスツアーと茶道部によるお茶会で日本文化体験です。

In the afternoon, NYP students and the faculty members took a tour of SCU campus and participated in tea ceremony hosted by SCU students’ tea ceremony club.

3月13日（火）Tuesday, March 13

午前中、看護学科生は浜松ゆうゆうの里への施設見学へ行き、日本の高齢者施設について学び、午後は本学にて本学教員による日本独特の演習「エンゼルケア」に参加しました。

In the morning, the nursing students visited “Hamamatsu Yuyu-no-Sato” and learned about the elderly facility in Japan. In the afternoon, they performed “angel care” (postmortem care which is uniquely done in Japan) that was hosted by SCU nursing faculty members, and some SCU nursing students joined as well.

また、社会福祉学科生は、社会福祉法人復泉会へ施設見学に行きました。障がい者がジュース製造を通して、自身にも社会にも勇気を与えている取り組みに感心している様子でした。

And, the social work students visited a social welfare corporation “Fukusenkai”. They were impressed with the efforts that persons with disabilities are putting in to their work, and the fact that juice manufacturing work encourages both themselves and the society.

午後は、合同で聖隷三方原病院へ訪問し、それぞれの専攻に沿った見学をしました。

In the afternoon, nursing and social work students all visited “Seirei Mikatahara General Hospital” and saw facilities that are related to their areas of study.

シンガポールにドクターヘリはないため、研修生たちは近くで見るドクターヘリに感動していました。

There is no emergency medical helicopter in Singapore, so everyone was excited and amazed to see the helicopter very close up on the helipad.

2017年11月28日、本学の交流協定締結校のナンヤン理工学院（シンガポール）より、副学院長Mr. Edward Ho及び工学部の先生方（Mr. Lam Yook Ming、Mr. Wong Chin Sai Raymond、Mr. Yeo Boon Pu）の4名が来学し、今後の交流の可能性について意見交換をしました。

On November 28^th, Deputy Principal Mr. Edward Ho and 3 faculty members from School of Engineering (Mr. Lam Yook Ming, Mr. Wong Chin Sai Raymond and Mr. Yeo Boon Pu) from Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) visited SCU and had a discussion with president Ohgi and professors from 3 schools about possible collaboration between NYP’s School of Engineering and SCU.

NYPの工学部では様々な分野で活用する技術を研究していますが、保健医療福祉分野で活かせるテクノロジーについては高齢者や障がい者の日常介助支援を目的に、現在NYPで取り組んでいる介助テクノロジープロジェクトを紹介していただきました。

There are a variety of technological research and projects at NYP’s School of Engineering including healthcare and welfare fields. Because SCU specializes in these fields, NYP’s faculty members presented some of their projects for assistive technologies for supporting daily life for elders and people with disabilities.

将来のコラボレーションの可能性としては、本学の社会福祉学部を中心にテクノロジーを介護に活かす研究や学生・教員交流についての話し合いを行いました。すでに長い交流がある看護学部やリハビリテーション学部に加え、新しく始まる社会福祉学部との交流に期待が高まりました。

Faculty members from both schools discussed about collaborative research and student/faculty exchange we could possibly have in the future. In addition to the long relationship School of Nursing and School of Rehabilitation Sciences have been having with NYP, both NYP and SCU are excited to have this possible collaboration with School of Social Work about welfare engineering.

2017年度国際看護実習を、9月5日から14日まで本学交流協定締結校であるシンガポール・ナンヤン理工学院（NYP）の協力のもと実施しました。11月17日に、その内容について来年度の対象学年である看護学部3年次生に向けて報告しました。

Two of SCU School of Nursing senior students reported their attachment experience at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) in Singapore from September 5^th to 14^th to all the junior students in School of Nursing. The debriefing session was held on November 17^th.

実習生としてシンガポールに派遣された2名の4年次生は、総合病院や地域病院での実習や訪問看護師への同行を通して、シンガポールの看護を幅広く体験し、日本との様々な違いも発見することができた様子を発表しました。また、NYP学生との交流会やホームステイ体験、休日の観光などでシンガポールの文化にも触れ、国際実習ならではの醍醐味を感じる報告会となりました。

They shared about the hospitals and facilities they were placed and the differences they found between Singapore and Japan. Also, they enjoyed the student exchange, homestay experience, and weekend activities they had with NYP students and faculty members. They had a great time learning the healthcare system and experiencing the culture in Singapore!
