Hello! I’m Mio Wakasugi.

On December 8, I participate in an exchange meeting.

Normally, the 4^th grade students go to a foreign country and have a training about physical therapy. However, they couldn’t do it under the influence of COVID-19. So, we did an exchange project online.

In the exchange meeting, we discussed about educational curriculum of each school, school life, and the hospital of each country. And we took about the change of school life under the influence of COVID-19.

In the Sun Yat-sen University, students of physical therapy attend some lectures from 1^st grade to 3^rd grade, and when they are in the 4^th grade, they go to the hospital for technical intern training. After that, they take the exam to get the license of a physical therapist.

I heard that I thought something is the same and something is not. I felt deference in the curriculum by countries.

This time, due to the influence of the COVID-19, it became an online exchange meeting, but hopefully, I would like to go to the site and feel the local atmosphere live. However, when I held an exchange meeting online, I couldn't feel the local atmosphere, but at least I was able to know about the local things.

I can't predict how long the effects of the COVID-19 will last, but I hope it will end soon. Also, I want to do what I can do now in my new lifestyle and learn the best I can do now.

こんにちは。リハビリテーション学部理学療法学科２年の若杉です。

12月8日に、中国の中山大学と交流会を行いました。

本来ならば、現地に向かい国際理学療法実習を行うのですが、新型コロナウイルスの影響で国際実習が行えなかったため、オンラインで交流会という形を取りました。

交流会では、中山大学の学校カリキュラムや中山大学第一附属病院でのタイムスケジュールについて教えていただき、私たちは学校のカリキュラムや学校生活、コロナによって変化した学校生活について情報交換を行いました。

中山大学では、３年間講義を受け、４年次にインターンシップという形で病院実習を行うそうです。その後、国家試験を受け理学療法士の資格を得ることができます。

資格を取るまでの年数は、日本と同じですが、実習の仕組みが少し異なっていて、国による違いを感じることができました。

また、大学病院での生活は、朝から夕方まで患者さんにリハビリを行い、仕事後に病院内にある研究施設で、研究を行うそうです。ちなみに、１日に診る患者さんは、外来患者さんと入院患者さんの合計で約３０人いるそうです。まだ、私は病院で働いたことが無いため想像がつきませんが、とても忙しい日常を送っていると思いました。

中国には、東洋医学という分野が発展しており、中国の理学療法士さんはみんな東洋医学を用いたリハビリを行っていると、私は思っていましたが、話していくと、中国の中でも、中山大学のある地域は東洋医学を用いたリハビリは行ってないと知ることができました。中山大学では西洋医学を用いたリハビリが主流だそうです。

今回、新型コロナウイルスの影響でオンライン交流会となってしまいましたが、希望としては現地に赴き、現地の空気を生で感じたいと思います。しかし、オンラインで交流会を行ってみて、現地の空気は感じることはできませんが、少なくとも現地の事について知ることができました。

新型コロナウイルスの影響がいつまで続くか予測がつきませんが、早く終息することを祈っています。また、新しい生活様式の中で今自分に何ができ、今できる最高の学習をしていきたいです。
